About the Position
The Career Services Manager is responsible for leading and managing the team that helps Juno graduates land exciting new careers in the tech industry. There are two key components to Juno’s Outcomes team: Career Services and Employer Relations. The Career Services Manager is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of Juno’s Career Services curriculum, and works closely with our Career Success Specialists as they support our graduates.
The Career Services Manager also defines the activities conducted by our Employer Relations Specialist, monitoring outcomes and adjusting tactics as needed to achieve desired results. Their success is measured by graduate placement rates - we aim to place 70% of students by 3 months post-graduation and 90% by six months (using a very strict graduate placement framework called CIRR). It is our goal to provide our community with an unmatched combination of specialized career development combined with caring, human-centred support and it is truly rewarding work.
Reporting to one of our VPs and with three direct reports, the Career Services Manager works closely with other Juno Managers to ensure the Outcomes strategy aligns with the broader student experience strategy and execution. Additionally, the Career Services Manager supports long-term job seekers (6+ months past graduation) and alumni returning for support in finding their next role.
For this role, we’re seeking someone with management experience who has the potential to grow and develop into a great people leader. If you’re a Careers professional with some management experience and the desire to grow into a leadership role, this position could be a great fit for you!
Additionally, you should be comfortable delivering specific and actionable feedback. You should be detail-oriented or have proven workarounds if you’re more of a ‘big picture’ kind of person. You should enjoy collaborating with your team and across departments. Empathy would make you a great manager for this team and a great champion for our job seeker community.
Please note that for this role we are seeking a candidate who lives in the GTA and would be able to come to the Juno campus occasionally for “moments that matter” - either for team events or to support in-person learners.
