Policies

Accommodation Policy

In accordance with Juno College of Technology’s values, we actively strive to create an environment where everyone who comes through our doors feels safe, supported, and free to be themselves, and to create projects using new and exciting technology that expresses who they are. We’re always working hard and challenging ourselves to create the kind of environment where everyone feels welcome, and we always will.

We will make accommodation for students and guests with disabilities or other needs wherever possible. Our space at 483 Queen Street West has an elevator for access. We offer gender-neutral washroom facilities in both our buildings, as well as a room for breastfeeding, pumping, prayer or other requirements. Please feel free to email us to discuss any accommodation needs.

Sexual Violence and Harassment Policy

Juno College of Technology has a zero-tolerance policy for sexual violence and harassment. Read our full policy here.

Course Postponements and Transfers

Course Postponements

At times, we may have to change the location, date, or postpone a course or workshop. We will endeavour to give you the maximum amount of advance notice possible.

If you’re unable to attend at the revised location or date, you will receive a full credit of any prepaid fees against a future course, or if requested, a full refund.

Juno College of Technology is not liable for any other costs incurred due to a postponement of a course or workshop. This includes travel charges or other consequential damages, even if we are advised of them at the time of postponement.

Course Transfers and Missed Classes

We want our courses to work for your schedule and your life. If you need to change your program’s start date, we’ll try our best to accommodate. Your first deferral for a program will be free of charge, and subsequent deferrals will be charged $250 plus HST. All requests must be received by the final deferral deadline for the session. More details can be found in our Student Code of Conduct and Policies here.

Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate students switching into other continuing education course sessions when a class is missed. Students who miss a class are expected to catch up on the material covered during their absence outside of class time. We encourage students to contact their course mentor(s) if extra assistance with missed exercises is needed.
