We're seeking two Community Associates to join the Juno College team on a part-time basis to help us operate and grow Coral, our coworking and community space in downtown Toronto.
About the Position
Created and run by the team at Juno College, Coral is an inclusion-driven community and coworking space designed to serve as a “third place” for Toronto’s tech community. We have intentionally created a space that prioritizes inclusion, diversity, and accessibility. A space where all of our members and participants can feel welcome and empowered to be themselves, without judgment.
Reporting to our Community Manager, we're hiring two part-time Community Associates to help manage daily operations at Coral and become a point of contact for our members and community. You'll work from the space each shift and support the Community team with operations, marketing, and member engagement tasks.
As a Community Associate, you'll be responsible for opening and closing the space, helping us build and engage our membership base, and facilitating events. This role will be task-based and includes responsibilities like reception, cleaning & organizing, garbage removal, occasionally lifting moderately heavy items, and performing tasks on a Macbook computer.
We believe that Coral is what Toronto’s tech community needs. A safer space that prioritizes inclusion and access, where individuals can feel a sense of belonging. It is paramount that our Community Associates share our vision and values in creating this space.
We are specifically looking to hire someone available on Fridays between 9 AM and 5 PM, and are also seeking applications from those with evening and weekend availability.
