Toronto's best coworking space is here.
Juno College is proud to announce the launch of Coral, a 7,000 square foot inclusion-driven membership space for Toronto’s tech community to work, connect, and hang out. While anyone is welcome to apply for membership, Coral will strive to represent and serve the needs of those underrepresented in tech.
As Community Manager at Juno College, I’m extremely excited to launch Coral for our Alumni and the Toronto community, and look forward to managing the day-to-day operations at the space!
The Space
The COVID-19 pandemic and success of our Live Online programs have both allowed us to assess and plan for the best possible use of our downtown Toronto campus, located near the corner of Queen Street West and Spadina Avenue.
Coral is designed to serve as a “third place” for Toronto’s tech community - a space alternative to home and “the office,” where members and guests can feel a sense of belonging and connect with like-minded folks.
Coral was built by our team at Juno, led by CEO & Founder Heather Payne, along with members of our incredible Alumni community and experienced consultants. We sought out community members and partners that had experience in a variety of areas, including community building, inclusive space design, and Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion.
"This community space was co-created with so many thoughtful people, including community designer Negin Sairafi who we worked with as a Consultant throughout Coral's development," says Heather.
This is just the beginning. We will seek feedback from our members and continue to develop this space as a safe, inclusive corner of our city where everyone can be themselves and celebrate being who they are.
The building was recently renovated to improve accessibility and space design for coworking and social events. The facilities at Coral include a large gathering area with cafe-style seating and kitchen, accessible single-stall washrooms, private meeting areas, private bookable rooms for members who require privacy, and two large classrooms suitable for focused work.
Membership Info
To ensure Coral develops as an inclusive space as membership grows, we’re requiring all members and guests to agree to membership policies upon joining. Our membership policies, including values and community guidelines, were developed in partnership with consultants and active members of the Juno community. Our values are below:
- Inclusion
- Safety
- Access
- Accountability
- Respect
- Thoughtfulness
- Growth
Members and guests will also be required to provide proof that they’ve received both doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine at least two weeks prior to acceptance as a member, unless they have a medical exemption.
With multiple membership options available, including flexible day passes, there are options for those who would like to be at Coral a lot, a little, or even just in the evenings and on weekends. Financial aid is also available to ensure that finances are not a barrier for those who would otherwise like to join.
We hope to see you at Coral soon!
