Juno College’s In-Person Bootcamp: The Benefits
Accessible and Focused Learning Space
Depending on your learning style and home setup, you may find that you thrive in a more traditional, In-Person classroom environment where you can focus with fewer distractions! Say hello to your career change hub: Coral is our 7,000-square-foot coworking and community space in the heart of downtown Toronto — recently renovated and ready for you!
You’ll have unlimited access to our facilities during opening hours, which include a large gathering area with cafe-style seating and kitchen, accessible single-stall washrooms, bookable meeting areas and rooms, and of course, our gorgeous, spacious, and bright Bootcamp classroom for focused learning.
Face-To-Face Interactions
While both In-Person and Live Online Bootcamp formats offer ample opportunities for socializing, networking, and connecting, we know that for some people, the face-to-face element of socializing is very important for their learning and building meaningful relationships. With our In-Person Bootcamp, you’ll be able to connect with your cohort in our campus, grab a bite to eat somewhere downtown, or meet some of our Alumni and team in our coworking and community space!
Signature Learning Experience
Our Bootcamps first began as transformative In-Person learning experiences, after all! Our diverse team of industry experts has designed an immersive environment that has a distinct mix of interactive lectures, code-alongs, in-class exercises, module-based projects, discussions, and collaboration. Our most recent Bootcamp which wrapped up in September 2022 received a customer satisfaction score (CSAT) of 100%, meaning that 100% of students were satisfied or highly satisfied with their experience.
Beginner-Friendly
In case you missed it, we recently announced that our Bootcamps are now beginner-friendly — so no coding experience is needed to apply! Our In-Person Bootcamp kicking off on February 27, 2023 will be our first In-Person session with our new 13-week format that makes it possible for absolute beginners to join us. With this update, we’re so excited to make changing careers with our programs more accessible than ever before!
In-Person Bootcamp FAQs
What are the differences between In-Person vs. Live Online Bootcamp?
The differences you’ll find in our In-Person format are below:
- Students and Instructors will be present in person at our campus for in-class learning
- Lunch & Learns will be organized on-site for In-Person students rather than virtually
- In-Person students may also have additional on-campus office hours and 1:1 mentorship, dependent on mentor availability
- Access to our campus during opening hours for the duration of the Bootcamp program
- Access to In-Person events run by Juno’s Community Team (such as our famous Salad Club!)
Whether you’re changing careers with us In-Person or Live Online, here’s what will stay the same:
- All Bootcamp students receive the same cutting-edge curriculum, specialized Career Services, and inclusive community support!
- Virtual office hours and 1:1 mentorship will continue to be available to all Bootcamp students
- In-Person students will also be invited to all virtual events — this includes our famous weekly “Show & Tell” event that brings together our whole alumni community!
Do Bootcamp students have access to campus outside of class hours?
In-Person Bootcamp students can enjoy unlimited access for the duration of their Bootcamp program during our campus opening hours, which are currently Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 8:00pm. If you’d like to continue working from our campus post-Bootcamp, whether for your job search or while working remotely at your new job, you’ll be able to purchase a Coral membership at a special alumni price!
Will recordings of In-Person classes be available?
Our In-Person classes are not recorded. If you miss a class, an instructor will reach out to let you know what material was covered, so you’ll have the opportunity to review the detailed Bootcamp notes. This is how we supported our In-Person Bootcamp students prior to the pandemic, so we’re confident we’ll be able to catch you up!
If you need more support, we also recommend using our weekly virtual Office Hours or requesting virtual 1:1 mentorship! These resources are offered to help fill any gaps in your understanding of the material, whether due to missing class or just needing more time to review.
What is your COVID-19 policy?
Throughout the pandemic, the Juno community has worked diligently to maintain a safe and supportive environment. For our In-Person Bootcamp, this includes measures such as:
- Our classroom has a capacity of 70 students but our Bootcamps are capped at 40 students
- We have two HEPA air filters set up in the classroom throughout the day
- Students and instructors are welcome to wear masks if they’d like
We’ll continue to monitor public health conditions, adjust our response as needed, and update our students on any changes. For full, up-to-date information, please refer to our COVID-19 policy.
What happens if the COVID-19 situation changes during In-Person Bootcamp?
We’ll continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation during the program. If public health conditions or guidance change during the program and we’re required by government mandate to cease In-Person learning, the program will switch to our time-tested Live Online format, so that you can continue your learning uninterrupted.
If you prefer In-Person learning, you may also choose to defer to our next In-Person Bootcamp. You’ll be able to pick up where you left off, but please note that we can’t guarantee that the instructors will be the same.
If you’d like a refund, our regular refund policy applies.
