Diving head first into a career transition was probably one of the scariest things I’ve done in my professional life. But taking the step with Juno, I knew it was the right choice and I’m happy to be in a place where I’ve learned the roadblocks and development and excited to build, grow, and develop was a Software Engineer! Having the team at Juno along for the journey was an amazing experience and I would say to those on the fence of exploring a new career, you can do it with the right community by your side and to bet on yourself along the way!

Coming from a competitive figure skating background with no prior tech experience or degree other than a few self-paced online courses, I never would have dared to think I’d land my first role so soon after only 5 weeks of job searching! But with Juno, that became possible. This new role is like a dream come true since I get to build on the foundation taught during bootcamp and learn from such an awesome company. Juno helped me use my past "unconventional" experience as a weapon rather than a weakness and ultimately helped me stand out in such a competitive pool of job applicants.

I decided to take part in the part-time Bootcamp so I could have the ability to continue working my full-time job while attending Juno. The pace of the program has been manageable and the time off between classes gives me the opportunity to review the concepts we are learning.

Once I decided to change careers, actually jumping in and starting Bootcamp was really scary! But the instructors and careers team at Juno were super supportive, welcoming, and gave me the practical tools I needed. And it was so much fun!
