The Approach
Publicis Canada was aware of Juno College’s reputation in helping professionals from creative backgrounds launch careers in web development. They reached out to Juno for support and our Employer Relations Team got to work in developing a streamlined hiring process through our unique Referral to Hire approach.
Juno’s Referral to Hire approach identifies unique candidates that are a perfect match for available roles based on their background and experience levels. This is in contrast to the traditional hiring format, in which open work opportunities are widely shared with Juno’s community of over 1,000 alumni.
In this case, Juno selected junior web developers that matched Publicis Canada’s criteria for ideal candidates: creative professionals with past experience in marketing, design, and the arts. Working closely with Publicis Canada’s Director of Marketing Technology and Director of Digital Productions, this process allowed hiring managers from across Publicis Canada to send their work opportunities directly to Juno. An Employer Relations Specialist would then select and deliver a list of eligible candidates within 1-2 business days. This process not only allowed Publicis Canada to significantly reduce the time commitment required in hiring a junior web developer, but also made it easy for them to find a unique and suitable candidate for each role.

Hiring Success: Over 20 months, Publicis Canada hired 8 Web Developers - all recent graduates of Juno’s Web Development Bootcamp.
Relationship Growth: Over the same period, three additional Hiring Managers from Publicis Canada began working directly with Juno’s Employer Releation’s Team.
Increased Role Diversity: Publicis Canada was able to hire for a diverse range of roles such as Email Developer, Interactive Developer, and Technical Project Coordinator.
