Juno College has unveiled a collection of mental health resources for the tech community, including mental health support for Bootcamp students.
You may have heard about Juno’s new vision for 2022 and beyond, which includes shifting our work culture to a 4-day workweek, switching to 12-week Bootcamps, and more. At the heart of all these exciting changes is the goal to take care of the mental health and wellbeing of our community, so that they can thrive in and outside of their careers.
Which leads me to sharing our latest update: we’re thrilled to launch Juno’s new Mental Health & Wellbeing page, including a partnership with Maple, a virtual care platform! This page is dedicated to providing resources for our students, staff, and community to help support themselves and others.
This is just one of the many ways that Juno is committed to creating a safe and welcoming learning environment, where a sense of belonging and connection is fostered for all. A key part of this is ensuring that our community feels empowered to care for their mental health and wellbeing, and receives care when needed.

Juno College x Maple Partnership: 24/7 Virtual Mental Health Support for Bootcamp Students
We know that Bootcamps and career pivots can sometimes bring stressful and scary feelings — that’s why we want to make sure that students have the resources they need to take care of themselves and loved ones during this big life change.
To deliver a meaningful and personalized approach to mental health, we’ve partnered with Maple, Canada’s leading virtual care platform. Together, we designed a customized plan that fits our Bootcamp students’ individual needs during their studies and job search.
MIND by Maple is a resource that’s available 24/7 through the Maple app. Bootcamp students can regularly text with a care concierge, see a therapist on-demand, or read about managing their wellbeing in daily work settings. MIND by Maple can support anyone and everyone, no matter where they are in their mental health journey.
Coverage begins on the first day of Bootcamp, and includes a 6-month subscription to access:
- Up to four 50-minute psychotherapy sessions with a licensed Master of Social Work (MSW)/Registered Social Worker (RSW)
- Clinically validated wellbeing check-ins
- A fully stocked resource library
- Asynchronous messaging with a care concierge
- Unlimited access to the Headspace meditation app
- Bookable and on-demand consultations for a la carte Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with therapists and medical care from General Practitioners
NOTE: Due to provincial licensing restrictions, psychotherapy, care concierge, and prescription services are only available to Canadian students. International students will have access to Maple’s content library, virtual check-ins, and unlimited access to the Headspace app.
We’re so excited to be partnering with Maple to help promote mental wellness in our classrooms, workspace, and community!
