Interested in learning how to make your on-paper art skills usable across digital platforms, but don’t know where to start? We’re hosting a free, beginner-friendly workshop for makers like you.

Come join me (Melissa Carter) and Tiff Nogueira to learn how to take something good-ish you’ve drawn on paper and turn it into a great digital design that you can use on social media, your website, your products, and more. Plus, learn about Front-End Web Development at HackerYou and how entrepreneurs and makers are a vital part of our community.

On August 8th we’ll have a free, hour-long lesson on how to digitize your on-paper creations. We’ll cover tips for drawing your design, the technicalities of how to make it digital, tricks to perfect the design once it’s on-screen, and what you can do with it once it’s complete. Then we’ll have lots of time for you to work on your design, get help from talented HackerYou mentors, and find out more about HackerYou!

Schedule

6:00pm – 6:30pm – Check-in + meet & greet (snacks and refreshments too!)

6:30pm – 7:30pm – Introductions and lesson

7:00pm – 8:00pm – Work period with design mentors

8:00pm – 9:00pm – Implementation, peer feedback, and next steps!

This workshop is for you if you’re an entrepreneur or maker looking to find out more about what HackerYou has to offer, you want to learn how to take your on-paper creations online, or at the very least, you want some free snacks and some relief from the heat! Seriously, our air conditioning is out of control.
